One big disadvantage is scrolling thru titles that are in the middle of the alphabet. When you scroll thoough, the list starts at A or you can move backwards to Z. However if you have 1000 songs going to a title starting with "m" lets say takes FOREVER. Very annoying! Theres no volume leveling so your mp3's better all be the same volume. And yeah you cant charge and listen at the same time. Its good only to listen in random mode for several hours. Say, using it for background music in a business. But thats it!
