MSI FX600MX Multimedia Notebook Release Date, Specs Revealed
Serious mobile computing users will need to take a look at MSI’s new FX600MX multimedia powerhouse laptop. In addition to announcing their new gaming notebook, the MSI GE603 Gaming Notebook, MSI also has a new multimedia-centric product in the FX600MX.
MSI is also releasing a new multimedia notebook called the FX600MX that offers Core i5 processing power.
Forget about tiny netbooks that are underpowered. MSI’s FX600MX is a light and very portable notebook that comes with a Core i3 or Core i5 processor. It boasts up to 8GB of DD3 RAM support.
The 15.6” inch backlit LED screen is just perfect for watching HD movies and gaming too. Yes this laptop can do decent 3D gaming because it comes with a discrete 512MB Nvidia GeForce 310M graphics accelerator.
MSI’s unique GPU Boost Technology in the FX600MX automatically switches to the discrete graphics card when you need superior graphics processing like games and HD movie viewing.
Sam Chern, Marketing Director for MSI also said the FX600MX has been toughened up with their in-house non-peeling anti-scratch, anti-smudge raised totem seal coating. They also redesigned this notebook to feature a chiclet keyboard layout and a raised multipoint touchpad for more ergonomic use.
Again, like the GE603, this laptop also comes with a built-in HD 720p webcam for sharp video conferencing with your friends and family. There’s also MSI’s Cinema Pro technology which offers cinema-quality movie viewing, complete with SRS Surround speakers.
MSI said they hope to make this notebook available in time for the Holiday Season. The MSI FX600MX Multimedia Notebook release date schedule hopes to make shoppers happy with this offer. They will announce the price tag for the FX600MX at a later time but rumors has it that the price will be cheap because of the Holiday Season. This is partly due to the fact that it’s the next big event after the Cyber Monday 2010 and Black Friday 2010 deals (where all gadgets’ pricing drops to as low as 50-75%).
