The iPhone OS 3.0 Beta 4 has been released but it is meant for developers only for testing purposes. If you are an iPhone app developer, better check out the iPhone OS 3.0 Beta 4 now. If you want to develop apps for iPhone, you’ll have to pay a certain fee to get into the circle of iPhone OS 3.0 Beta 4 testers.

The fees to be paid to become a developer are: $99 (Standard) and $299 (Enterprise). Learn more from the Apple website about the differences between the two. As a member, you’ll be able to develop, test and distribute apps for the iPhone. The iPhone OS 3.0 Beta 4 is probably the last beta version of prior to the official iPhone OS 3 firmware release to the public. According to rumors, the iPhone OS 3 release date will be the same as the release date of Apple Media Pad – one of Apple’s two new products (the other one is the  iPhone Lite to be powered by Verizon).
