iPhone 2.2 News: iPhone 2.2 Firmware Update/Upgrade Available
After the release of the iPhone 2.0.1 firmware, Apple released iPhone 2.2 firmware update or upgrade today. This is Apple’s response to improve the iPhone’s interface and fix some security issues in iPhone 3G. You may install the free iPhone 2.2 firmware update or upgrade and get Google Street View, public transit and walking directions, and more. This free software update will greatly improve your user experience with the iPhone. The iPhone 2.2 release date has been anticipated by iPhone users since the news broke out last week.

The iPhone 2.2 update can be done through iTunes 8. If you don’t have iTunes 8 installed, download it first then carry out the iPhone 2.2 firmware update from within iTunes.
