Hey do one thing download original 3.0 firmware for 3G (not 2G), save it on desktop, now open itunes 8.2, connect iphone when pop-up in itunes, click n go to summary tab, now if u'r using windows, click shift+restore, when opens browsing window browse through the firmware you downloaded. open it, seat back n relax. let itunes do everything.
