iPhone Virus | iPhone SMS Hack | iPhone Text Virus
Have you ever experienced the iPhone Virus? Sounds like the iPhone can’t be hacked, right? Wrong. The iPhone 3G and 3G S, just like other mobile phones have their own Achilles Heels, so to speak. The iPhone virus, iPhone text virus or SMS virus (however you want to call it) only shows that every digital device is vulnerable to malfunction and exploitation.
iPhone hacks have been done before. But some hacks are done to “enhance” features. The first iPhone Virus does not do that. For some users, the text virus prohibited them to send and receive SMS messages. For a short description of the virus in iPhone, here’s what we’ve come up with.
When your iPhone is connected to a particular network, say AT&T, and a text message arrives in your phone, some words or group of words or characters, the iPhone software may have a certain level of difficulty to interpret said SMS. If that is the case, experts claim that it confuses the iPhone. We have seen this happen in some other phone models where the phone just stops functioning normally or simply hangs. For the iPhone this scenario may be replicated. Some recommend that if you ever experience this, turn off your iPhone and simply restart.
Since iPhone is not a perfect cell phone, the vulnerability may last for a short while. iPhone owners are really hopeful this vulnerability will be addressed in the next OS upgrade (iPhone OS 3.1) which will be released very soon.
Your thoughts and experiences on the iPhone virus, please?
