How to Jailbreak iPhone 3.1.3 OS for Selected iPod Touch and iPhone Generations Using Redsnow 0.9.4
iPhone 3.1.3 OS Update for iPhone and iPod Touch is now available! At first, rumors say there is no jailbreak for iPhone 3.1.3 Firmware but that notion was proven wrong by a few iPhone and iPod Touch users. There is an iPhone 3.1.3 jailbreak available but not for all models and generations of iPhone and iPod Touch. iPhone 3.1.3 OS jailbreak can only be done on iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G, iPod Touch 1st gen and iPod Touch 2nd gen (non-MC models) only. Provided below is a video tutorial on how to jailbreak the 3.1.3 iPhone firmware.
iPhone 3.1.3 Jailbreak using Redsnow 0.9.4
Before watching this video and applying it on your iPhone or iPod Touch, read this warning.
WARNING: Do not update iPhone 3g & 3gS to 3.1.3 firmware yet if you want to preserve your Jailbreak/Unlock for iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G, iPod touch 2G (MC models) and iPod touch 3G. This is because the new iPhone 3.1.3 firmware updates baseband from 5.11.07 (unlockable with Blacksnow) to 05.12.01 (currently Unlockable) on iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G which makes it impossible to jailbreak and unlock iPhone 3GS and 3G.
Here is how to jailbreak iPhone 3.1.3 OS on iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G, iPod Touch 1st generation and iPod Touch 2nd generation non-MC models using the 0.9.4 Redsnow.
Again, the iPhone 3.1.3 Jailbreak can only be done on the above mentioned generations and models of iPhone and iPod Touch. Do not do this on iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 3rd generation.

I tried it, but redsn0w said my ipod touch is tethered. How can I unlock it…I tried sn0wbreeze but it does not work…
i tried to jailbreak my iPhone 3.1.3 OS using Redsnow 0.9.4 but it doesn’t seem to work. i’m new to jailbreaking iphone with redsnow 0.9.4 and other iphone unlocking tools – blacksnow and snowbreeze. damn! i should have read the warnings before hitting the redsnow version 0.9.4 download and actually running it. now i need a technician to fix this mess.
