iPhone 3GS Upgrade: Will You Pay That Much To Get an iPhone 3G S?

Date Published: June 9, 2009

iPhone 3GS Upgrade Update: iPhone 3GS was released with some bang today especially when we’ve heard of the upgrade fees. iPhone 3GS upgrade might cause some of you to frown upon these figures – $399 (16GB handset) and $499 (32GB handset). Cheap or what? I think you can answer that. Your answer is highly subjective.

For an upgrade, iPhone 3GS wannabe-users are somewhat frustrated. In fact, our jaws here dropped to the floor when we’ve learned of this development earlier today. WTF! $399-499 for a cell phone upgrade? Are you kidding me? Personally, this author thinks that the amounts involved in the iPhone 3GS upgrade are too high. Is Apple asking too much for this? In my humble opinion, YES. The charges are exorbitant.

this is really stupid business for apple. how did they get themselves cornered by AT&T like this. Apple will likely sell less phones with these prices, while AT &T doesn’t really care about existing customers.

My 3G was stolen 2 months after I bought it and now I am stuck with an AT & T contract and would have to pay more 499 to get a new iphone?

I totally agree. The iPhone 3GS upgrade fee really sucks, dude. Have you reported the stolen iPhone 3G to AT&T. Why didn’t they re-consider your case? You should have been given a discount or something.

NO. This is too expensive upgrade. I will stay with 3G until my service ends and change my service from AT&T to a different provider.
