First thing you should do is to download Zynga’s Mafia Wars version for the iPhone or iPod Touch from Apple’s App Store (the only source I know).

The official online version of Mafia Wars is all-static and boring compared to the iPhone 3GS or iPod Touch version. The creator, Zynga, did well in making the iPhone and iPod Touch versions of Mafia Wars. These include animations and funny audio sound bites! You get some brief animation and audio clips every time you finish a job or fight. This is very commendable of them; I hope they also do this to the online version of Mafia Wars. iPhone 3G and 3GS handsets are perfect for mobile gaming and it pleases me to have this option of playing Mafia Wars anytime, anywhere. The benefit of having sound and animation is an added bonus. I find it more fun and rewarding to play Mafia Wars on the iPhone now instead of playing it on my web browser.
