Vornado Zippi desk fan was intended for safe use. The fan blades are exposed but you don’t have to worry of cutting yourself. This fan has soft cloth blades which make it safe for kids to touch. Vornado Zippi fan also has a whisper-quiet operation. So you can read, use it while in bed or make a conversation without noticing the noise from your desk fan. Another feature of this product is that it can be folded to a compact size which is portable that can even fit into a bag pack.
However, Vornado Zippi fan does not give as much breeze as you would expect. Vornado FA1-0007 Zippi desk fan is designed for individual use. Unlike what their website stated that it has powerful electric motor with 2 speed control, it can only give a slight breeze. In contrary to what the manufacturer said about the product, Vornado Zippi fan is not strong enough to move a lot of air in a cubicle, office, dorm room or hotel room.
If you want to purchase Vornado FA1-0007 Zippi Desk Fan, it is a personal fan so don’t expect too much.

AMEN!!! This Vornado Zippi Fan FA1-0007 is a God Send. I used mine for two years in my work cubicle (prior to retirement)- to the envy of all my co-workers. It does a great job… especially for ‘hot flashes’. The breeze is sufficient to require one to weigh down loose papers on the desk. It’s on my ‘best gift to give’ list. Don’t let the nay sayers fool you… this is one powerful little gem of a fan. I’m a fan of THE FAN.
