How is this camera battery charged? the manual doesn’t say anything about what port is for charging. A friend has bought one and wants to know. My guess is that it’s the USB 2.0 port. AM I RIGHT?

I purchased one of these myself and just now installed the software to use it. I’m not super keen of the video quality, but I must say it’s no more difficult to work with than my $600+ flash card camera. Audio and video synced fine and while you can’t upload the raw data to youtube you can’t with most HD cameras. The video quality is fairly lame, but it is MUCH better than the telephone camera my son has been using to film his projects, and is better than most standard def cameras.

Have you tried uploading to YouTube? Or tried watching your videos on your computer?

I have bought two of this type of low cost pocket camcorders and when played back on my computer the videos voice sync is off, both cameras would not upload to YouTube. I did not spend tons of time trying, only about 20 min, to no avail. I returned them.

One was an Insignia from Best Buy, the other a flip but maybe it was a copy of the Flip. It appeared REALLY cheap and only cost $30 on sale.
