Unlocked Samsung Wave S8500: First Smartphone with Bada OS
Samsung launched its first ever Samsung Wave S8500 mobile phone sporting the Samsung-created Bada operating system (OS). This new model, Samsung Wave S8500, is appropriately-named since Bada means “ocean” in the Korean language. Samsung has proclaimed Bada OS as the world’s best mobile operating system which they decided to produce because of their current dissatisfaction over other mobile operating systems like Windows Mobile 6.5 (read the review of this OS, click on the link to the article for more details).

The Samsung Wave S8500 is another super phone featuring top of the line specs like some of its predecessors – Samsung Intensity SCH-U450 Mobile Phone and Samsung i607 BlackJack Quad Band GSM PDA Cell Phone. It is powered by a 1 Ghz CPU and has advance 3.3” AMOLED capacitive touch screen. AMOLED is reputed to be much better than OLED and will offer as much as 5x more clarity than existing OLED touch screen display. Samsung has confirmed that the Wave S8500’s AMOLED display, screen despite being capacitive, will also be protected by a thin layer of tough tempered glass and will have anti-glare coating for better outdoor usage. Another noteworthy feature of Wave S8500 is the autofocus 5-megapixel camera that will not only take pictures but will also record full 720p HD videos! I don’t remember any other smartphone model that does HD video recording so the Wave S8500 is already a 5-star winner in my book for including this incredible trait. I just hope the price of Samsung Wave S8500 is less than $300. We’ll keep you posted when official announcement on price is released.
Other noteworthy features of Samsung Wave S8500 are a built-in 2 GB of internal memory with expansion option via microSD slot, Wi-Fi b/g/n, 3G HDSPA and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity, 3.5mm jack, DivX player, 1500mAh battery, and TouchWiz. This phone looks sexy and thin too, the Wave S8500 will only be 10.9mm thick. Possible release date of Samsung Wave S8500 mobile phone is April of 2010 so stay tuned for more updates in this site.

hi, i bought samsung wave S8500 on 12 july 2010, after 2 days camera button has become loose, if i want to click the camera button, i had to press it hard.
