Palm Pre TouchScreen Smartphone: The Real iPhone Killer?
Is the latest Palm Pre Touchscreen the real iPhone 3G Killer? Many cell phone models have been tagged as the iPhone Killer before. Some of which were Nokia 5800 Xpressmusic (Tube), Blackberry Storm/Thunder, and many more, including Google Android Phone (G1). I’m not quite sure if the new Palm Pre Touchscreen can measure up with this huge challenge. Having an “iPhone Killer” tag is not a title that should be taken lightly. Palm Pre manufacturers must be both excited and apprehensive with this marketing pitch.
For the benefit of those who want to know the features and specifications of palm Pre, here are they:
- 3.1-inch 480 by 320 touch display (with multitouch and an accelerometer)
- Wi-Fi and 3G (EV-DO Rev. A)
- GPS
- Stereo Bluetooth
- 8GB of internal storage
- Weight: 4.8 ounces
- Keypad: Curved, slide-out
- 3-megapixel camera
- 3.5mm headset jack
The latest Palm Pre is powered by WebOS, an operating system that is considered by many experts as a better mobile operating system than Google Android and Apple’s iPhone OS. A cool platform, really.
