Nokia N95 8GB Clone (China Made): Full Specifications and Features
If you are wondering what are the Nokia N95 8GB Clone (made in China) cell phone specifications and features, look no further because they’re very very similar to the original Nokia N95 cell phones. Believe me, knockoff cell phones made in China like the Nokia N95 8GB Clone units look real if you’re not used to seeing original Nokia cell phones. The Chinese are really doing great in creating knockoff mobile phones.
The N95 8GB Clone (China made) was actually offered to me by a friend in Laoag City, Philippines. This knockoff Nokia N95 model is only sold in stores in the Philippines for Php 4,000 or less. Just like the Toshibo N99i V9+i Mobile TV Knockoff Nokia model, the Nokia N95 8GB Clone’s operating system is NOT Symbian. It is also PDA-like with a touch screen (stylus provided). A significant difference in the original Nokia N95 8GB model and the Nokia N95 8GB Clone model is that the clarity of shots made by the camera. Although on paper, the Nokia N95 8GB Clone is advertised as a 5-megapixel camera, the shots are far inferior than the original Nokia N95. In addition, the battery life of China-made Nokia N95 cell phones is a lot shorter than the original Nokia N95’s battery.
On the other hand, the Nokia N95 8GB clone model is packed with most of the great features of the original Nokia model. If you want to play around with it, then go on and have fun. I just cannot guarantee you its overall quality because reports have it that their batteries do not last long and caused some users in the past big problems. The programming of the operating system is sometimes buggy. In one of my tests on the China-made Nokia N95 8GB clone model, the keypad stuck at some point and I had to reset the phone by removing the battery then putting it back on again. Fake China-made cell phones are flooding the Philippine market because they are cheap. However, if you have extra money, I highly recommend that you buy original phones like Sony Ericsson and Blackberry Storm/Thunder.

The Nokia N95 8GB Chinese-made Clone of the Nokia N95 is great despite what you said that it is a cheap mobile phone. The features are comparable to the original.

Nokia phone lover,
I agree. In fact, I will get a Nokia N95 8GB Clone cell phone unit today and test it thoroughly and see its weaknesses and problems so that I can post them here for the benefit of Nokia N95 clone users. I was told that like other China-made cell phone, the Nokia N95 clone is having some problems connecting to the internet. WAP settings sometimes don’t work. Well, that’s just what old users told me so I better check it out myself.

Nokia phone lover,
By the way, where are you from? In the Philippines, Nokia N95 8GB clones cost about Php 4,000 (in Manila and provincial stores).

Fren,
I’ve tested the Nokia N95 8GB Clone cell phone already for about 3 hours. The features and specs are great but like I said, I still have to test it thoroughly because the long-term use of the gadget could show us problems like short battery life or buggy programming inherent in China-made cell phones like the Nokia N95 8GB clone and Nokia N99i V9+i models.

Nagkalat na ang phone na yan pati sa bangketa meron na rin. Naki “uzi” rin ako at nalaman ko na mas magaan ito kaysa sa original. At yung later models meron na rin analog TV receiver. Haha may antena pa! Pero ok na rin ito. Sigiro nasa pag iingat na lang sa paggamit. Iwasan ang alikabok hehe. Yung isa kong barkada tumagal na rin yung kanya, mga 2 months na at di pa naman sira.

Sure no problem. One of the biggest problems with the China-made Nokia N95 8GB clone is the battery life. I have asked for another battery because the vendor gave me a used battery. This is usually the case that is why when buying a Nokia N95 8GB (China-made) clone cell phone, I suggest you inspect all the accessories included in the package.

I’m sorry but you can’t load softwares and java games to Nokia N95 8GB clone. The OS is not symbian. Just like the Nokia N99i (China made), the OS is one of the problems with these clone phones.

Hey bro, I am from Pakistan. In Pakistan Nokia N95 Clone costs Rs.8000 which is approximately $120. I want to know that are there any softwares made by anyone for the Nokia N95 Clone. I mean even if its operating system is not symbian have the chinese or some other good soul made apps. Or is there an emulator type thing to make symbian based softwares work. If no then I want to buy a cell phone for ebooks. Please tell me. My budget range is $120 maximum.

The games of the Nokia N95 8GB clone are in the .NES format, a custom-format made by the Chinese for China-made phone clones. I’m sorry to inform you but you can’t pretty much change anything with the OS, games, themes, wallpapers and programs installed in the Nokia N95 8GB clone.

does clone n95 8gb contain 5 megapixel camera and gps? can we use any mobile O.S on it?
[Reply]
jessie reply on November 19th, 2008:
Sammy,
Unfortunately, the Nokia N95 8Gb Clone phone is China-made. As such, you cannot install any mobile OS in it. The Nokia N95 clone’s OS is not symbian and it’s “what you see is what you get” mobile phone. This means that it’s not fleible and you can’t do pretty much anything about it in its present state.
Also, yes the Nokia N95 clone has a 5MP camera but it doen’t have GPS, only GPRS and MMS.

The OS is supposedly Nucleus a custom made OS it has some sort of C++ internals?
Its a rtos and there exists a firm that made it…
The architecture is based on a ARM compatibile CPU the MTK6226ab
Wether there will be prots or drivers, remains to be seen.
The serial (debug/flash) interface is very porly documented… (IMHO)
YMMV
