New Nokia N8 Mobile Phone Full Technical Specs
In order to fulfill its objective of outperforming the iPhone, Nokia incorporated not only of 256MB of RAM but also added an additional 512MB of ROM to the Nokia N8. The Symbian^3 OS is being proclaimed as a true multitasking operating system and its only basic for the company to put enough memory juice to this phone to take advantage of this feature.

Even the forthcoming release of the new iPhone OS 4.0 has so far failed true multitasking capability since it prohibits third-party apps from running at the same time. No such limitation has been announced for the Symbian^3 OS. On the contrary, Nokia is encouraging third-party developers to avail of its new Qt SDK software platform to develop new apps for the N8 and other future Symbian^3 models.
The large 768MB of memory of the Nokia N8 is complemented with a new powerful 2D and 3D accelerator chip. Gaming on the N8 will soon rival that of the iPhone since the new Symbian^3 OS now supports single-tap, multi-touch and pinch-to-zoom gestures and has improved accelerometer sensors. This phone also boasts a huge 3.5 inch capacitive touch screen display which is ideal for gaming and watching HD videos. Unlike other phones, the Nokia N8 also included supported for the popular web formats like DivX and RealVideo.
