HTC has just released their latest mid-range phone, the HTC Wind T328w Android mobile phone with Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0.3 operating system) in China and its primary selling point is that it comes with dual-SIM capability which is already a standard feature in other phone models like MasDroid Android Phone. While there are several local Chinese brands already offering the same feature, HTC’s Wind T328w android phone has higher quality hardware components and better performance.
While other Chinese dual-SIM Android phones are still stuck at Android 2.3, the HTC Wind T328w already boasts of its latest Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich OS just like in HTC One X Quad Core. This is because it comes with a fast 1GHz Qualcomm MSM7227 processor and a large 512MB of DDR3 RAM. The Wind T328w also comes with a decent 4GB of internal flash storage.
Other notable features are that this phone has a multi-touch capacitive 3.7-inch 800 x 480 screen, Bluetooth 3.0, USB 2.0, microSD card slot. Wi-Fi b/g/n, Beats Audio, and a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus and LED flash.
As for aesthetics, the HTC Wind 328w looks like the HTC Desire HD. It is quite thin at 9.33 mm and very light, weighing just 114 grams including the battery. The 1650 mAh Lithium-Ion battery of the HTC Wind 328w Android smartphone is rated to last up to 8 hours of talk time, quite an improvement over earlier phone specs like HTC Wildfire.
HTC is selling the Wind T328w in China for 1,999 Yuan or around $310 in the US. It is available in different colors like silver, blue, black, red, pink, and yellow.
