Ohio residents who are customers of Cincinnati Bell may want to check out this new offering from the company. The HTC Panache is a medium-range smartphone people home who only needs a competent Android phone to use in their everyday lives. HTC Panache is an Android OS 2.3-powered handset like Samsung Hercules that’s got HTC Sense for easier navigation.
Cincinnati Bell is selling the HTC Panache for $399.99 without contract or $199.99 if you sign up with them for a 2 year service plan.
This phone won’t win any prize for beauty or brawn. It looks like your usual HTC smartphone but the Panache has 3.8-inch widescreen capacitive display. It’s not that small at 4.8 inches long x 2.4 inches wide x 0.40 inch thick but it will fit any pocket.
Show Some Love to the HTC Panache with Android 2.3 Operating System
The HTC Panache is still stuck with a single-core 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 processor so don’t expect this to be the best there is when it comes to multi-tasking or gaming. However, this phone has enough RAM, 768MB, to do your usual daily Android activities.
In addition, the new HTC Panache technical specs and features list also shows that it has an extra 3.7 GB of ROM and an 8GB of built-in flash drive. It does not have 4G capability but it can do HSDPA 7.2Mbps internet browsing.
The other features that stand out for HTC Panache are the 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, GPS Navigation and the 5MP camera at the back which also takes 720p HD videos. This camera has a real optical zoom, autofocus and LED flash. The VGA front-facing camera is nothing to celebrate about. I also like that this handset offers a full HTML browser and FM radio.
