There were several Quad-core Android Phones that got unveiled at MWC 2012 in Barcelona but the clear winner seemed to be the HTC One X android phone. HTC, aside from packing this phone with first-rate hardware specs, also focused on creating a beautiful design for the One X. Just like the Samsung Galaxy Note 4G LTE Android Smartphone, it has the best quality built and great body finish and feel.
MWC 2012 participants raved about the gorgeous looks of the HTC One X Android mobile phone. Here are some technical specs and features: first, it’s sexy and has a very powerful CPU. The beautiful 4.7-inch Super LCD 2 screen may seem too large for some people with small pockets but the huge size means this phone can replace your 7-inch Android tablet (like ZTE T98 Quad-Core Tegra 3 Tablet PC maybe). The 1280 x 720p screen is also protected by a layer of super tough Corning Gorilla glass.
The HTC One X has a very dominating quad-core 1.5 GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 processor which boasts a ULP GeForce video accelerator for deadly gaming on the go. It is loaded with 1GB of DDR3 RAM so multitasking and gaming on this phone is a joy. The HTC One X is blazing fast with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich even when running up to 8 apps simultaneously. This is great feat considering that this phone is also beautified with HTC Sense 4.0 UI software on top of the Android OS GUI.
The other outstanding feature that the HTC One X has is its new 8-megapixel camera that comes equipped with a brand new image-processing chip that can do auto-focus in 0.2 seconds. This camera is now also a lot faster because it can do shot to shot in 0.7 seconds, almost as good as your regular DSLR from Canon or Nikon. Furthermore, what impresses me most is that the HTC One X’s camera has a HDR mode! Turn this feature on and you will creating some very cool HDR pictures automatically in-camera without the need for software manipulation on your computer!
Another thing, this phone can also record full HD 1080p video with autofocus and surprisingly, the One X’s new image processing chip allows you to also take a picture while in HD video recording mode! A great trick that my old Samsung Galaxy 5 i5503 phone cannot do. This Android phone has a built-in storage of 32GB so you can record up to 10 hours of full HD video on it without having to buy costly SDHC cards.
The HTC One X also comes with another new great feature called Media Link HD which is some kind of superchard WiFi or wireless technology that will only work with dongle that HTC will soon bring to market. This feature lets you plug the dongle to the One X, swipe three fingers upwards on the screen and your phone’s display will get mirrored to other phones and other compatible electronic devices!
The people at HTC’s booth in MWC 2012 promised an April release date for the HTC One X Android phone. AT&T has already signed up to distribute it in the US, calling it the AT&T HTC Edge. The release date schedules in Canada, Europe and Asia are yet to be determined.
