Chinavasion has another impressive dual-SIM Android phone called Astrum. This is different from the Chinavasion’s CyberStar 3G Dual Sim 4.3-inch Touchscreen Smartphone. They are selling Astrum for just $219.50 with FREE shipping anywhere in the world. The Astrum’s dual-SIM capability is ideal for people who don’t enjoy bringing more than 1 handset in their pocket.
The low price of Astrum 3G Dual SIM Android 2.3 Phone is not an indication that it lacks required features. It looks like a clone of HTC Desire HD released by Vodafone in terms of body design so it doesn’t look cheap.
Chinavasion Astrum Smartphone is furnished with an extra-large 4.3-inch multi-touch capacitive screen which is larger than the old iPhone 4’s retina display but has a lower but still great resolution of 800×400 pixels.
Its main engine is a 650 MHz MTK653 processor and surprisingly, it has a large amount of RAM of 446MB. These two respectable components help the Astrum do decent 3D gaming and full HD 1080p movie playback.
Furthermore, the Astrum has a front-facing 2 megapixel camera can do HD video chat. Like the Verizon 4G LTE LG Spectrum Android Phone, it has a back 8 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash.
This phone has support for Bluetooth, g-sensor, 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi, 3.5mm audio jack, microSD card slot, microUSB port and is pre-installed with the official Android Market app.
The 2000 mAh rechargeable battery is rated to last 48 hours of standby time and 4 hours of talk time. It can be charged via the included power cable or the USB cable. Chinavasion is selling the Astrum with 2 batteries included.
The only downside about the Astrum is that it only comes with 164MB of internal flash storage so a microSD card is needed to expand its storage capacity. Other than that, this Android 2.3 phone is an excellent buy.
