Samsung Galaxy S II Phone Announced at Mobile World Congress 2011
After selling gazillions of their Galaxy S Android phones, Samsung wants to keep their winning momentum. The Korean company unveiled the successor to their best-selling smartphone at Mobile World Congress 2011 in Barcelona. The new Samsung Galaxy S II or GT-i9100 is now with dual-core processor and has multi-tasking capability comparable to desktop computers!

This next-generation Galaxy S will use Android OS 2.3 Gingerbread and aside from having a dual-core processor, it also boasts Samsung’s new crystal-clear 4.27-inch Super AMOLED Plus display. It’s the world’s most advanced mobile screen ever produced. It has RealStripe screen technology which beats Apple’s Retina display in terms of sub-pixel count resolution.
Add to these the advanced wireless networking features and Samsung Galaxy S II is undisputedly the new Android superphone. It now has HSPA+21 connectivity and BlueTooth 3.0+HS that offers blazing internet download and file transfer! Likewise, this phone now features a real 3D graphics accelerator that delivers superior HD movie playback and serious 3D gaming.
Lastly, the Samsung Galaxy S II (GT-i9100) will ship with an 8-megapixel camera that shoots stills and record full 1080p video. Samsung’s AllShare technology will make it very convenient for owners to capture, create and share online their pictures and videos.
Samsung is debuting Kies Air for Galaxy S II. Kies Air is the new simple device management for smartphones. It will let you do easy management of your phone’s content from any PC using local WiFi connection. Accordingly, this phone has WiFi Direct feature that will allow you to connect it to any wireless-enabled computes without the need for wireless access points.
The company also said Samsung Galaxy S II (Model #GT-i9100) now has native support for Near Field Communication (NFC) technology which will soon dominate mobile payment service.
