T-Mobile Sidekick 4G Android Phone Release Date Leaked by Radioshack
After so much coyness on the part of T-Mobile, Radioshack tweeted that T-Mobile Sidekick 4G Android Phone will finally hit their stores on April 20. Looks like Radioshack landed a sweet distribution deal with the carrier and we will be seeing the Samsung Sidekick 4G on the shelves of Radioshack starting on the said release date.

Radioshack tweeted that they will be selling the T-Mobile Sidekick 4G starting April 20 eventhough T-Mobile has yet to make an official announcement.
The Samsung Sidekick 4G on T-Mobile will ship with Android 2.2 Froyo OS and will be selling for $99.99 after a $50.00 mail-in rebate. This price is subject to a 2-year service contract with T-Mobile. It is $50 cheaper than the HTC EVO Shift 4G Android Phone from Sprint. No official word yet but Radioshack might give away some freebies to lucky customers.
To remind you, the T-Mobile Sidekick 4G has a 3.5-inch SuperAMOLED capacitive multi-touch display and a nice slide-out QWERTY keyboard. On top of the Android OS 2.2, is a customized TouchWiz user interface from Samsung.
As the name implies, this phone is 4G HSPA+ compatible for superspeed internet connectivity. While it’s not as lovely as the iPhone 4, the Samsung Sidekick 4G android phone does have two cameras too. There’s a front-facing VGA camera for video chat and one 3-megapixel camera at the back.
The T-Mobile Sidekick 4G is one of the new android phones that will have the official Android Market pre-installed and will also feature specialized social media applications. Samsung’s exclusive Media Hub will also be pre-built and of course T-Mobile’s TV, Plus Group and Cloud Messaging will also be inside the Sidekick 4G when it ships.
T-Mobile has yet to officially confirm the April 20 Sidekick 4G release date leaked by Radioshack’s tweet. But who cares, Radioshack’s confirmation is enough for me.
If T-Mobile got Samsung Sidekick 4G and Sprint got HTC EVO Shift 4G, other mobile phone networks also have their aces of 4G android phones – Verizon Wireless got HTC Thunderbolt 4G while AT&T Wireless got the Motorola Atrix 4G.
