Nexus One Android Phone: Google Nexus One Superphone Released at CES 2010

Nexus One Smartphone is the latest Google Android Phone. It is officially called Google’s Nexus One Superphone because of its powerful 1 GHz Qualcomm 8250 processor. Nexus One was released on January 5, 2010 during the CES 2010 (or Consumer Electronics Show 2010). The Nexus One Superphone was introduced by Google VP Mario Quieroz. He made a hands-on demonstration of Google Nexus One Phone’s features and boasted its specifications.

The Nexus One Superphone was manufactured by HTC but it was designed and branded by Google. It can be purchased as an unlocked phone on Google’s online store or through T-Mobile with a 2-year contract. The Nexus One Superphone is not the first team up between Google, HTC and T-Mobile. Aside from Nexus One android phone, the three companies also released the HTC Magic as the MyTouch 3G Phone as T-Mobile’s second android phone.

The Google Nexus One Phone was said to compete with Apple’s iPhone 3G/3GS. Will Nexus One survive the competition against the iPhone which was contested by several other phones like the Motorola Droid by Verizon Wireless who also failed to take the iPhone from the top of the list.
