HTC HD3 / HTC HD7 Technical Specs Official: T-Mobile USA Will Offer HTC HD7 Too!
A leaked report that contained the official HTC HD7 technical specifications revealed that T-Mobile will be offering this Windows Phone 7 Series smartphone this October 2010. I wrote a previous article regarding the leaked document about the HTC HD7 debuting on October at Orange Germany. Now here’s another leaked document that uncovered the final HTC HD7 specs headed for T-Mobile in the US.
I think all these so-called leaks are intentional. Microsoft is using this tactic to drum up global curiosity on their upcoming Windows Phone 7 smartphones. Anyway, this leaked document revealed that the HTC HD7 is features-wise almost similar to the T-Mobile HTC HD2. Like its predecessor, the HTC HD7 is powered by a 1GHz SnapDragon processor, a huge 4.3-inch capacitive multi-touch display, 576MB RAM, and a 5-megapixel camera (see sample photo below).
The HTC HD7 was previously rumored to the HTC HD3 or codenamed “Schubert” on T-Mobile but I guess the American carrier is following its European counterparts who are all releasing Windows Phone 7 models with the 7 number tag. Here are some of the official HTC HD7 technical specs, earlier branded in July as HTC HD3:
- Windows Phone 7 OS and pre-installed applications
- HTC Sense and App Widgets
- 1 GHZ Qualcomm QSD 8250 processor
- 512MB ROM + 8GB non-removable microSD card
- 576MB RAM
- 4.3-inch TFT 800×480 capacitive multi-touch screen display
- 5-megapixel CMOS camera with autofocus, Dual-LED Flash and 2-step camera control
- Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR
- Wi-Fi b/g/n
- HSPA+/HSDPA/HSUPA UMTS
- USB 2.0
- 3.5mm audio jack and built-in microphone
- Enhanced audio with Texas Instrument chip
- Assisted GPS
- Accelerometer
- Proximity Sensor
- Ambient Light Sensor
- Kickstand
- Removable battery 1,230mAh

Please, the HTC HD7 has got to do better than an HD2 clone with windows 7 to make me drop my HD2, guess I’ll be waiting for the HTC HD8. Disappointing.
