The Verizon iPhone has been the talk of the town months ago. Rumors then say that the iPhone will be soon available on Verizon Wireless. To consumers’ dismay, the Verizon iPhone wasn’t possible yet because Apple’s iPhone is currently on an exclusive contract with AT&T, Verizon’s rival network.
Well, Apple’s iPhone exclusive contract with AT&T is about to end. Apple has now confirmed the possibility of the Verizon iPhone. The Wall Street Journal has reported on October 7, 2010 that Apple Inc. plans to customize the iPhone 4 for Verizon Wireless. Discussions say the Verizon iPhone version will be a customized iPhone 4 but rumors also says that Verizon Wireless may be releasing the iPhone 5th Generation.
It is about time for the Verizon iPhone to come because many iPhone users are no longer satisfied with AT&T’s services. How many iPhone users will switch from AT&T iPhone to Verizon iPhone? Will Verizon Wireless be able to handle the surge of iPhone users? The only clear thing is that consumers want the Verizon iPhone 4 version because Verizon is still the largest and best carrier in the USA.
Apple Inc. is planning to begin mass production of the iPhone Verizon version by the end of 2010. Verizon iPhone release date is projected within the first quarter of 2011. For those who wants to take a glance at the Verizon iPhone, watch out for it at the Consumer Electronics Show in January 2011.
Verizon iPhone service plans and prices will be revealed as soon as the iPhone is already on Verizon.
