Sony BDV-IS1000 Blu-Ray 5.1 Home Theater System w/ Wireless Surround Review
Sony Blu-Ray 5.1 Home Theater System w/ Wireless Surround Review: The Sony BDV-IS1000 Blu-Ray 5.1 Home Theater System paired with Sony’s WAHT-SA10 S-AIR Wireless Surround Receiver is one good combo for a home theater system. According to customers, the Sony BDV-IS1000 Blu-Ray player worked well with its integrated 1080p full HD feature.
One advantage of this Sony BDV-IS1000 Blu-Ray 5.1 Home Theater System w/ Wireless Surround Receiver is its very cute golf-sized speakers. They are so tiny and are very manageable inside the house without interfering with other home furniture. These mini speakers and subwoofers of the Sony Blu-Ray 5.1 Home Theater System w/ Wireless Surround deliver an astounding audio performance despite its size. Sony BDV-IS1000 Blu-Ray 5.1 Home Theater System is actually coupled with the S-air technology. Sony’s S-Air has wireless capability partnered with WAHT-SA10 receiver.
Another advantage of the Sony Blu-Ray 5.1 Home Theater System w/ Wireless Surround is its 2 HDMI inputs. It is also beautifully designed and looks good enough to fit as furniture.
However, the Sony BDV-IS1000 Blu-Ray 5.1 Home Theater System and WAHT-SA10 S-AIR Wireless Surround Receiver had some beef. Most customers claimed that they weren’t able to get the rear speakers to work. But some did with the help tech support and purchasing additional connecting cables (pretty ironic for a wireless surround speaker). The rear speakers aren’t really wireless because it is still needed wires to connect to its WAHT-SA10 receiver box. It is HTIB so it lacks the versatility that normal receivers have. For example, we cannot purchase a universal remote control for the BDV-IS1000 Sony Blu-Ray 5.1 Home Theater System w/ Wireless Surround because it runs with a new system.
If you have the Sony BDV-IS1000 Blu-Ray 5.1 Home Theater System with WAHT-SA10 S-AIR Wireless Surround Receiver and the rear speakers worked, then good for you. To those who have newly purchased this blu-ray and speaker combo by Sony who had troubles setting-up their rear speakers, here is a solution posted by one customer:
1. Turn the wireless router I had nearby off.
2. Reset the player from Resetting->All settings menu.
3. Set the S-Air RF Change to Off after Reboot.
4. Perform the normal pairing operation as in the manual which paired after several attempts.
5. Relocating the wireless router.
