Mafia Wars Bangkok Update For MySpace and Facebook Players
Zynga has listened to the pleadings of the MySpace Mafia Wars players so the company announced today that they will release the Bangkok update for them starting in April. Facebook players have been enjoying the new Mafia Wars Bangkok update and map since January 22 and that update has managed to entice old players back to Mafia Wars in Facebook. MySpace players of Mafia Wars have also defected to other mafia-themed games and Zynga wants them back so they have made the same Mafia Wars Bangkok update in Myspace.

The Bangkok update for Myspace will feature the same content that’s found in the Facebook version! Players will have to choose a faction to join- the Yakuza or the Triads. The Yakuza place more importance in high offensive power while the Triad focuses on increasing their defenses. Each of this opposing faction in Bangkok have their own unique weapons and businesses that only those loyal members can have. Every time you do Mafia Wars Bangkok jobs for each faction, you gain popularity rank with it. But be warned, the higher your loyalty rank to a faction, the more you will be hated by the enemy faction. Earning enough loyalty rank gives you the privilege to buy special weapons and items from your Faction store. These faction-exclusive weapons have exceptional stat options that can make your Mafia Wars account more powerful.
MySpace players will also get the benefit of a sliding energy cost bonus for new and low level players of Mafia Wars. Unlike in Facebook, any MySpace Mafia Wars Bangkok player that is at least level 18 may now go to Bangkok as long as they already have the Yakuza Sake, Triad Coin and Thai Note found in New York jobs. They can exchange the said 3 items to immediately get their Thai Passport so they can travel to Bangkok. Zynga has also implemented a sliding energy cost for players in level 18-200 so that they can do Bangkok jobs easier. Even new players will be able to complete Bangkok jobs quickly and advanced through the 5 episodes of Bangkok because these jobs will require less Energy to complete. Players above level 200 cannot take advantage of this feature.
