What about for lower levels in Farmville? The lowest level crop on your list are the Sunflowers, ranking at number seven, it’s for level twenty five and over. I’m level sixteen. I need good money.
I disagree with the above list. From the items above Grapes should be number 1 yielding 200% profit, that is considering the plowing cost. Just do the math. For low level players, Soybean gives you 220% profit but the $15 per plot investment is low compared to $85 on grapes. Cabbage gives you 166%. And if you can do white roses, it’s 247%. Based on costs acquired on the net due to my level being below 80.
Raspberrys are the best cash crop, if you calculate money spent to hours to harvest.
EX: raspberrys- cost=20, sell=46 time= 2 hrs
you make 26 profit for every crop, which works out to 13 profit every hour.
compare to the articles #1- peas: cost=190 sell=381 time=23 hrs, you make 191 profit per crop, which works out to just over 8.3 per hour.
Obviously time to devote to checking crops every 2 hrs can be an issue, but it is what is… think about it…
@brandon, Just a thought about your figuring. It is true that raspberries have a profit of 24 if you do not take in to account the 15 it takes to plow the field. This would also be applied to the peas, but only once. If you looked at the per hour figure, you would have to figure that to the mix as well. That would mean you are not getting 26 per crop but 11 per crop which gives the per hour rate at 5.5 verses 7.6 for the peas.
@Krista, The best advice I can give you for money is to plant as much as your plot will hold and do it often if you can. I know you posted earlier and are probably way past you posted level, but at level 17 you can plant blueberries which give you a 24 per crop profit. They are a little expensive at 50 so if that’s the case, plant strawberries and try to do it every 4 or so hours. Also make sure you put all plots for seeding on your land. Sell every tree or animal if it takes up a space where farmland can go, you can make the farm pretty when you have plenty of money. I’ve been playing it for ten days and am at level 25. Whatever you do, don’t let the plants wither which is a complete waste of money so if you aren’t sure if you can get to them, plant pumpkins which are harvested in 8 hours which gives you 15 to get them. Good planting.
