Forget about the BlackBerry PlayBook Stereoscopic 3D Display for now. If you own a Sprint Samsung Galaxy Tab, please be notified that the carrier just released a new firmware update for your device. The EA24 patch fixes the annoying Exchange email issues and also brings a QIK software update to version 0.04.77. There’s also new LCD device drivers from the manufacturer.
The free EA24 Firmware Update is a small download and will take less than 5 minutes to complete. Just in case you have forgotten or still don’t know how to update your Galaxy Tab over the air (OTA), you may do so by going to Home screen, tap Menu, select Settings > About My Galaxy Tab > System updates. After which either choose Update Android or Update Firmware.
Your Samsung Galaxy Tab will then automatically download this latest free update from Sprint. Just to be sure that EA24 patch is properly installed, I recommend you restart your device to complete the free firmware upgrade. After restarting, just go to Home screen, Menu, Settings > About My Galaxy Tab. You’ll see your device’s Baseband number and Build number. If your Baseband Number read S:P100.08.S.EA24 then you made a successful over the air patch! That simple. I hope this guide helps.
