FujiFilm FinePix Z900 EXR Compact Digital Camera Specs & Features Unveiled
My favorite camera company, FujiFilm, has unveiled their latest compact digital camera on April 5. The new FinePix Z900 EXR is purportedly an affordable pocket camera that comes equipped with FujiFilm’s brilliant 16-megapixel hybrid EXR-CMOS sensor, much like the one previewed at CES 2011, the Fujifilm FinePix HS20 EXR CMOS Superzoom DSLR-like Camera.

This tiny camera from Fujifilm comes with features you won't even find in $1,000 Canon or Nikon DSLR cameras.
The FujiFilm FinePix Z900 EXR’s use of two sensor technology means it can deliver the best image quality even under low-light condition. The triple-layer EXR array of this camera is designed to automatically adjust its picture-taking behavior depending on the situation. For comparison, you can go ahead and read our preview article on Fujifilm FinePix X100 Portable Digital Camera (launched last year at Photokina in Germany).
It also comes with a real optical 5x wide-angel zoom lens equivalent to 28-1400mm in 35mm standard. The FinePix Z900 allows full auto mode but it also offers experts users three additional manual options: the High Resolution, Signal to Noise Mode, and the Dynamic Range Mode. Surprisingly, FujiFilm also included a free pro-level CMOS Shift Image Stabilization feature for this camera.
The 16 megapixel resolution of this camera means it can output images worth of printing up to 48 inches sizes! Not many compact cameras can deliver such print size quality so you really ought to buy this one if you are in the market for it.
To name a few of its technical specs, this FinePix camera comes with a 3.5-inch multi touch LCD screen with 460,000 pixels of resolution. Aside from taking pictures, the FinePix Z900 EXR can also record full HD 1080p videos! It also has a mini HDMI port for live viewing of pictures and videos on your huge HDTV. I’m also impressed that it comes with high-speed shooting mode than lets you shoot up to 12 frames per second. Not even my expensive Nikon D5000 can shoot that fast!
As regards FujiFilm FinePix Z900 EXR Compact Digital Camera release date or pricing, Fujifilm did not announce those details to the public yet but hopefully it will retail for less than $400. If it does, I will really, really be tempted to buy it for this price even though I already have tons of cameras at home!
