Another USB/Flash Drive Virus: Win32/Autorun.Del.AQ Worm
The Win32/Autorun.Del.AQ Worm is another USB/flash drive virus that affects the autorun.inf file in your usb/flashdrives. If Win32/Autorun.Del.AQ Worm infects your USB/flash drive, the autorun function of your drive will be damaged and in some cases, formatting the USB/flash drive will not return the drive to its normal state.
- USB/Flash Drive Virus Win32/Autorun.Del.AQ Worm
The autorun.inf file is responsible for opening the USB/flash drive’s contents. If this gets damaged, the only way for you to open your flash drive is to right click on your drive then left-click on the pop-up menu “Explore”. This is somewhat annoying, I think. After catching this virus (say you have an antivirus software that can intercept this malicious program) delete it as soon as possible. I heard of this but never encountered it so far. Somehow, may I know what is the best antivirus you think is? I see you’re using NOD32 ESET

Camper,
Yeah I’m using Nod32 ESET. It has caught many flash/USB drive viruses before (like the Win32/Autorun.Del.AQ Worm USB/Flash Drive Virus). In my other units, I also use Avira antivirus and AVG free. They’re also good antivirus programs but I like NOD 32 ESET more that’s why I use it in my main unit.
