This is a sad Sunday for me. I just heard that Playfish Games is closing down one of my favorite Facebook game, Pirates Ahoy! As per the company’s explanation, they have no choice but to close Pirates Ahoy due to its declining player population. But don’t worry, Pirates Ahoy will only close on June so we still have 6 weeks to live out our Captain Jack fantasies!

I was really addicted to GodsWar Game App on Facebook last January to February but I was forced to quit since this action RPG game got too damn popular, servers were always full so it was super-laggy and hard to log in to. Now, I found another real action game on Facebook I will review here. It’s Gun Bros, made by Glu Moble Inc. who also made a very nice boxing game for new Android Phones.

There are other video chat apps on the Facebook platform but all of them failed to attract popularity despite the fact that Facebook has more than 500 million users already. Even Skype and Google Talk (GTalk) failed to win followers for their Facebook video chatting apps.

Facebook has finally acknowledged the fast-rising popularity of Android OS. Recently, the mobile development team of Facebook has released the official Software Development Kit (SDK) for the Android OS platform. You can test out the beta version by downloading it from http://github.com/facebook/facebook-android-sdk/. This is a big turnaround policy for them since they always favored the iPhone platform. As a matter of fact, the company released the iPhone SDK more than a year ago and has never made any effort back then to support the growing Android OS community of developers.
