We were lucky to have witnessed part of the Perseid Meteor Shower this 2009 on August 12 (August 11 in other countries), around 10 pm Philippine time. We have covered and witnessed the same Perseid Meteor Shower in 2008 and perhaps we are lucky to have been part of this annual event. Last week, scientists predicted that the Perseid Meteor Shower will be seen today. The Perseid Meteor Shower is actually a yearly phenomenon. In the Philippines, we also see these natural phenomena (meteor showers) but the most significant one was I think the meteor shower that happened in 2005 or 2006 (Sorry I can’t recall the exact date).
