Mozilla Firefox 3.5.4 Promises Great Speed and High Level of Security
Mozilla Firefox 3.5.4 is ready for download free and we just did upgrade our version after having tons of problems with Firefox 3.5.2. The truth is, after our bad experiences with version 3.5.2, I have stopped using Mozilla Firefox and deleted it from my computer and turned to Flock – a more lightweight version of FF because it uses the same basic engine as the latter, and Safari 4 (which turned out to be very slow and buggy later on). In fact we even did not blog about the release of Firefox 3.5.3 after being disgusted with the frequent crashing and horrendous amount of bugs found in Firefox 3.5.2. Yes, that version had too many bugs and an immediate update was in order at that time. We thought at first that many issues in the Firefox 3.5 engine were addressed in the 3.5.3 version but still, many users ended up dissatisfied with the performance of Firefox in handling javascripts. Errors in loading web pages and sudden closing of tabs have become common among users.

Firefox 3.5.2 Errors, Bugs and Crash Reports
We have discussed not so long ago about some problems with Mozilla Firefox and how it made our browsing lives more difficult. The Firefox 3.5.2 upgrade didn’t fall off far from the javascript errors we have experienced with Firefox 3.5.1, sorry FF fans. Read more
Despite Safari 4 Upgrade, Safari Becoming Slow and Buggy
Despite our love of Safari when it was upgraded to version 4, that love was short-lived. We have found out that between Mozilla Firefox, Safari 4 and Internet Explorer 8, Safari 4 loads web pages the slowest. At first we were impressed with the speed of the Safari 4 Beta browser but putting it under a little browsing stress (opening multiple tabs), the slow performance of Safari 4 became more evident.
Flock Not Responding Error Caused by Windows Incompatibility
More than a week ago, we decided to update to Flock 2.5, the latest version of the browser. Though Flock 2.5 looked promising, we were not expecting it to show some bugs in the early stages. We have been using this browser for about a year now and we have not really encountered serious problems with Flock except that it hangs once in a while in our Acer TravelMate 6292-6B2G25Mn Notebook and other laptops that we own and tested for blogging purposes. These problems only happen when we open lots of tabs in Flock (around 150) which is understandable because of our “abusive” web surfing habits. Read more
Problems With Mozilla Firefox: Crash Error Details and Signature
Of all web browsers we’ve used, Mozilla Firefox 3.5 was the most buggy. We said WAS because we’ve already upgraded to 3.5.1 but still, shades of the old Firefox errors can be had with the latest FF version. Mozilla Firefox 3.5.1 and its predecessors have been proven memory-hungry application based on our evaluation (kudos to Windows Task Manager). In case you missed it, you may also head on to our article “Unusual Behavior of Firefox 3.5.1 When Handling Javascripts” and see if you have experienced the same error we encountered just after the update.

Unusual Behavior of Firefox 3.5.1 When Handling Javascripts
After updating to Firefox 3.5.1, we have observed some rather unusual and annoying behavior of Mozilla Firefox. The 3.5.1 version does seem to have a difficulty handling some javascripts. We have seen our Firefox 3.5.1 browser go “nuts” by resizing windows unexpectedly. Even without moving anything (no mouse movement, just staring at our monitor) the window restores down or minimizes.
