Free Themes For Google Chrome Browser Version 3

November 17, 2009 · Filed Under Internet Technology · Comment

There are lots of free artist themes for the Google Chrome 3.0.195.33. When we first used Chrome, we found it buggy and we stopped using it for a while. It just won’t satisfy our needs at that time. Up until now that free themes for Google Chrome browser are available for free download, we did not get interested in using it. We know for a fact it will take a while before Google Chrome browser gets in the zone. This is one software we’ll test extensively for security, speed and overall performance. But as of this writing, our vote of confidence goes to Opera 10 Turbo. Find out why through the link to our articles on Opera 10.

Mozilla Firefox 3.6 Upcoming Features Include Personas Add-on

November 12, 2009 · Filed Under Internet Technology · Comment

Mozilla Firefox 3.6 is on its way probably because Firefox is so buggy (still) that it fails miserably in many aspects every after upgrade. This could be one of the reasons why Firefox updates come so quickly. Mozilla has to address lots of issues regarding stability of the open source browser. Some security issues in the past have been resolved by new ones come up as soon as the others are fixed (See Mozilla Firefox 3.5.4 Update: List of Bug Fixes and Security Issues Addressed). So this is update is indeed a work in progress, a dedication only Mozilla Foundation can show.

Personas Add-on: For Firefox 3.0 upt to 3.6

Firefox 3.6  is slated for release in final form this year though there is no exact release date posted yet, with Firefox 3.7 in the first half of next year and 4.0 about a year from now. One of the major changes to be seen in 3.6 is the Personas add-on. This add-on will let people customize the appearance (look-and-feel) of the browser to their liking and taste. This is purely eye candy and this can be done also with reskinning.

SRWare Iron: Use the Safer Google Chrome Browser Alternative/Clone

November 12, 2009 · Filed Under Internet Technology · Comment

Google’s Web browser Chrome is hailed on the net as one of the fastest browsers, having innovative features, simple and possessing a very intuitive interface. Unknown to many, Chrome also shares that same security vulnerabilities as the other browsers like Opera 10 Turbo, Firefox 3.5.4 and Internet Explorer 8, said several critics.

Google Chrome, Opera 10 Turbo, Mozilla Firefox, IE8: Which is the Best Web Browser??

November 10, 2009 · Filed Under Internet Technology · Comment

Google Chrome vs Opera 10 Turbo vs Mozilla Firefox vs Internet Explorer 8? Which is really the best web browser? This one is tough to answer. First off, when Firefox was updated to 3.54, I have found the update to be more of a headache than a convenience. Recurring problems like unresponsiveness, hangs-ups and high CPU and memory usage were common (and frustrating). Aside from these, Firefox is a very secure browser. Firefox has so many functions built right into it which might explain the reason why it eats too much RAM.

Opera 10 vs Firefox vs Internet Explorer vs Google Chrome

Until now in Firefox version 3.5.4, flash apps like Facebook’s Farm Town consumes 256.6 Mb of memory. This behavior explains why my 6GB system is easily reduced to a crawl by Firefox because when I work, I open a lot of pages simultaneously and Facebook apps are among them. I play Farm Town and Restaurant City. When these apps are open altogether, the browser would suddenly quit and an error message is displayed which I close immediately out of despair.

Download Free Opera 10 Turbo: The Fastest Web Browser Tried and Tested

November 9, 2009 · Filed Under Internet Technology · 3 Comments

We’re certainly loving Opera 10 Turbo for its compression of web pages. This makes Opera 10 a turbo-charged web browser. We can recommend for extremely “multitabbers” like us (opening 50 or more tabs can qualify you as one. On paper, Opera 10 compresses web pages by up to 80% but we have seen it perform much better in some cases when pages viewed are text-only. Some image files (.jpg, .gif, .png and .bmp) of course can only be compressed less than 80%. In our observation, it’s even better than Mozilla Firefox in terms of loading graphics. It also consumes lesser memory than Safari 4 (slow and buggy), Firefox 3.5.4 and beats even Google Chrome because it does not load too many plugins or add-ons.

Mozilla Firefox 3.5.4 Update: List of Bug Fixes and Security Issues Addressed

November 9, 2009 · Filed Under Internet Technology · 2 Comments

Mozilla Foundation released an updated version of their flagship browser Mozilla Firefox to version 3.5.4. Mozilla Firefox 3.5.4 update fixed the following issues. As we have noted in the past, Firefox is a buggy web browser and since 3.5.2, we have dropped it in the list of free softwares in our computer. It may sound harsh a bit but we were fed up with Mozilla’s inability to improve Firefox. Bugs, errors and frequent crashing were common scenarios and millions of users did not like the way it loads pages. Problems with Firefox 3.5.4 though have been identified as early as now despite the manufacturer’s attempt to address many of the identified bugs in previous versions.

Mozilla Firefox 3.5.4 Promises Great Speed and High Level of Security

November 3, 2009 · Filed Under Internet Technology · 2 Comments

Mozilla Firefox 3.5.4 is ready for download free and we just did upgrade our version after having tons of problems with Firefox 3.5.2. The truth is, after our bad experiences with version 3.5.2, I have stopped using Mozilla Firefox and deleted it from my computer and turned to Flock – a more lightweight version of FF because it uses the same basic engine as the latter, and Safari 4 (which turned out to be very slow and buggy later on). In fact we even did not blog about the release of Firefox 3.5.3 after being disgusted with the frequent crashing and horrendous amount of bugs found in Firefox 3.5.2. Yes, that version had too many bugs and an immediate update was in order at that time. We thought at first that many issues in the Firefox 3.5 engine were addressed in the 3.5.3 version but still, many users ended up dissatisfied with the performance of Firefox in handling javascripts. Errors in loading web pages and sudden closing of tabs have become common among users.

Firefox 3.5.2 Errors, Bugs and Crash Reports

We have discussed not so long ago about some problems with Mozilla Firefox and how it made our browsing lives more difficult. The Firefox 3.5.2 upgrade didn’t fall off far from the javascript errors we have experienced with Firefox 3.5.1, sorry FF fans. Read more

Despite Safari 4 Upgrade, Safari Becoming Slow and Buggy

August 22, 2009 · Filed Under Internet Technology · 5 Comments

Despite our love of Safari when it was upgraded to version 4, that love was short-lived. We have found out that between Mozilla Firefox, Safari 4 and Internet Explorer 8, Safari 4 loads web pages the slowest. At first we were impressed with the speed of the Safari 4 Beta browser but putting it under a little browsing stress (opening multiple tabs), the slow performance of Safari 4 became more evident.

Flock Not Responding Error Caused by Windows Incompatibility

July 26, 2009 · Filed Under Internet Technology · Comment

More than a week ago, we decided to update to Flock 2.5, the latest version of the browser. Though Flock 2.5 looked promising, we were not expecting it to show some bugs in the early stages. We have been using this browser for about a year now and we have not really encountered serious problems with Flock except that it hangs once in a while in our Acer TravelMate 6292-6B2G25Mn Notebook and other laptops that we own and tested for blogging purposes. These problems only happen when we open lots of tabs in Flock (around 150) which is understandable because of our “abusive” web surfing habits. Read more
