Have you ever wondered how would it feel to wear a smart underwear that can detect your blood pressure, stress level and body temperature? Thanks to some inkjet printers like Epson NX420 AIO Inkjet Printer with 802.11n WiFi and the technology they were made from, American scientists from the University of California San Diego, La Jolla have developed a radical method for printing biosensors directly into clothing. Joseph Wang, one of the inventors of this technique said they took inspiration from inkjet-printer technology to achieve this feat. He and his team nozzle-printed nano carbon electrode arrays directly unto the elastic bands of men’s underwear successfully. The fixed contact to the skin will allow these biosensors to constantly monitor hydrogen peroxide and the enzyme NADH which are associated with various biomedical processes.
