Toyota Recall January 2010: List of Cars in 2010 Toyota Safety Recall of Sticking Accelerator Pedals
Toyota Recall January 2010 was actually initiated by Toyota themselves. The huge car manufacturing company voluntarily filed a safety recall on selected Toyota Car models that was claimed to have sticking accelerator pads. This Toyota Recall of January 2010 brought about by sticking accelerator pedals is a separate case to the November 2009 Toyota Recall event. Both the Toyota Recalls in November 2009 and January 2010 are about unintended acceleration problems and related issues.
The Toyota Recall scheduled this January of 2010 is a way for Toyota to address the problem on uncontrolled acceleration due to sticking pedals similar to the November 2009 recall which brought about by acceleration pedals getting stuck on unsecured car driver floor mats. This safety recall for sticking accelerator pedals does not apply to all Toyota Cars. Look at the short list below if your car falls under any of the categories qualified for free check-up of problematic parts involved.
The Toyota Recall January 2010 applies only for the following Toyota Car Models (list includes 8 types of cars falling under different classes and generations):
- 2005-2010 Avalon
- 2007-2010 Camry (Camry Hybrid not included)
- 2007-2010 Tundra
- 2008-2010 Sequoia
- 2009-2010 RAV4
- 2009-2010 Corolla
- 2009-2010 Matrix
- 2010 Highlander
Those are the cars that are under the latest Toyota Recall this January 2010. According to Toyota Motor Sales, this Toyota Recall January 2010 would involve approximately 2.3 Million vehicles that were already sold worldwide. Like the Honda Civic Recall in 2009 (due to airbag defects), the manufacturers aim to increase safety for the driver, car passengers and pedestrians. If you own at least one of the models mentioned above, head on to the official website of Toyota or your nearest Toyota Car dealer and inquire about how you can avail of the benefits of this event.
Aside from the news on January 2010 Toyota Recall, we’ve also written an article on the on going North American International Auto Show 2010 in Detroit, Michigan or more commonly known as the Detroit Auto Show 2010.
