LG W990 Mobile Phone with Intel Moorestown Chip is First in the World
Intel’s Keynote presentation at CES 2010 had the LG W990 mobile phone as the star example of Intel’s bid to sell its Moorestown platform for next-gen smartphones. LG W990 looks very much like the new LG Chocolate BL40 and BL20v models and Moorestown is being predicted to break Qualcomm’s majority share of smart phone processors. Intel’s Atom processors have become the industry standard for netbooks and small laptops. The microchip giant is aiming to achieve this feat again on the smart phone segment. Compared with the LG Projector Phone review, we’re inclined to give this a bit higher rating for having a very powerful chipset.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Face Recognition Feature and Technical Specs
Aha, the geeks at Sony Ericsson have taken my and others’ suggestion that it should make an Android smartphone in releasing the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10. Release date of SE Xperia X10 is yet to be announced but you may “pre-register” on Sony Ericsson’s website to receive notification of its availability. As you may also recall, the Windows Mobile 6.5-powered Sony Xperia X2 was recently dropped by Vodafone from its flagship roster. The British Telecom giant said they will focus on promoting Google’s Nexus One Phone instead of the Xperia 2.
Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 Review: Xperia X2 Mobile Phone Dumped by Vodafone
In an appalling turn of events, Vodafone announced that they will no longer be carrying the Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 mobile phone. This is so much unexpected since Vodafone was proudly proclaiming last year that they obtained exclusive distribution rights for the Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 in the UK. Unlike the Unlocked Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 which did not have such problems, Xperia X2 is giving Sony Ericsson a bit of a trouble lately.
HTC Smart: High-Tech Phone Release Date, Features and Specs
HTC Smart is being marketed as a smartphone everyone who loves high-tech gadgets should watch out for. HTC, the Taiwanese company that manufactures the Nexus One Google Phone used the CES 2010 at Las Vegas this year to announce that it will be making and selling a low-priced touch screen phone called Smart. The demo unit of this HTC Smart certainly looked sexy enough to rival the iPhone aesthetic-wise. Here are some pictures of the beta model of HTC Smart. It certainly doesn’t look like those cheap Chinese smartphone clones that populate eBay and other online stores, including phone sellers in malls (offline). To my surprise, HTC Smart phone exudes an aura of elegance and sophistication.
AT&T Android-Powered Smartphones Available in 2010
AT&T just announced recently that they will be offering Android OS smart phones to its subscribers beginning on March 7, 2010. The largest American Telco has obviously caved in to the rapid rise of Android handsets like Motorola Backflip with Motoblur. Apple must be livid right now because they gave exclusive rights to AT&T for almost 3 years to market iPhone 3G and 3GS in the American market. But hey, every other U.S.-carrier has already joined the Android bandwagon since last year and AT&T is a profit-monster that wants a cut of the ever-increasing revenue from Android phone sales.
Nokia N97 Mini Review: Its Positive Side vs Sprint HTC Hero Android Phone
We have posted our negative Nokia N97 Mini review in our past article. This time, we are posting a video review of Nokia N97 Mini dealing with the positive side of the handset. We’re doing this in the spirit of fair play. We’d like you, our readers to see the good and the bad about Nokia N97 Mini that is why we are publishing this one. We don’t want to be biased but of course we can’t help express our own dismay of Nokia N97 Mini. At first the features and specs seemed exciting but we got our hands on with it, the feeling just ain’t the same. However, we purchased the item still just to explore its features.
Motorola Backflip Droid Phone Review: Release Date and Price Set
Here is a video of the Motorola Backflip review by AT&T. Motorola Backflip droid phone is the newest Android-powered smartphone whose carrier will be AT&T. Our recent post on Motorola Backflip Droid smartphone outlines its release date, price, plan type, contract terms and some unique features and specs. Motorola Backflip is one of the few mobile phones you should watch out for this 2010 and the Motoblur feature was derived from Motorola Cliq MB200 (an earlier model whose carrier is T-Mobile). It may not be an iPhone killer but it sure packs some good stuff in its trunk.
Dell Mini 3/3i/3ix Smartphones: Can They Compete with iPhone 3GS?
Dell announced last year that they will be bringing to the world the Dell Mini 3 series of smartphones this 2010. They weren’t joking; Dell has unveiled its Dell Mini 3 series of Android-powered smart phones finally. With millions of satisfied Dell computer and laptop-owners, Dell is gambling they can sell the Dell Mini 3i and 3ix smartphone models quickly to their existing customers around the world. Dell is reputed to be the world’s most reliable builder of desktop PCs, notebooks and netbook computers like the following: Dell Inspiron Mini 10 Netbook and the very powerful gaming netbook, Dell Alienware M11x netbook. Statistics show that Dell’s customers have sworn loyalty to the brand over the years.
Motorola Backflip is a New Droid Phone Model With Motoblur
Motorola Backflip was first introduced at CES 2010. Motorola Backflip is powered by Android OS and features Motoblur like its predecessor, the Motorola CLIQ Android Phone also known as Motorola CLIQ MB200 (T-Mobile). Motorola came up with an innovative design for this smartphone model. It can be called as the world’s first and only contortionist smartphone. Cheeky name too, Backflip.
Nokia N97 Mini Smartphone: Slick But an Overpriced Mobile Phone
Will you buy a Nokia N97 Mini smartphone despite its high price? For US consumers, the answer may be NO. While the U.S. is greatly enamored with the iPhone and Blackberry phones, Nokia is still king of cell phone in many other countries in the world. Outside of the US and Europe, Nokia is so ubiquitous with cell phones, Chinese pirates still loves doing fake or clone versions of popular Nokia phones in case you didn’t know.
